How 'bout them apples...

Alright so I'm behind on my blogging... again...

Our upstairs computer (my preference for uploading photos and blogging) has been having temper tantrums the last few months and Dave's been working on it... and working on it... and working on it.  Sigh.

On November 8th, Dave and I took Amerah, her friend Jordan, and miss Lilybug, apple picking.

We had promised Amerah that we'd go and we were afraid that the orchards would be all picked out if we didn't hurry.  As luck would have it, Erwin's orchard was still rockin' some good Empires and Jonagolds (they had Red Delicious too, but blech!).
Why do all of Amerah's school friends seem so tall?!  Anyway, it turned out to be a good time to go... hardly anyone was there so we didn't have to battle the crowds, plus... and this was a MAJOR plus... the wagons were no longer running so they allowed us to DRIVE through the orchard!  I was so excited!
I LOVE apple picking and had resigned myself to sitting at a picnic table with Lily while Dave picked apples with the girls.  This enabled me to go into the orchard with them and watch the picking up close.
Lily was NOT happy to be left in the car with Mama for most of the picking!
So Amerah took pity on her and came back to get her... this photo makes me giggle, she's usually so photogenic... may be a good blackmail picture a few years from now... hehehe...
Lily got out of the van and made for the nearest apple, lying on the ground.  She proceeded to carry that apple through her short sojourn in the orchard.
Lily decided that she liked apples.  She ate the ground apple she found.  Once back in the van, she snatched Amerah's apple right out of her hand... twice...  Yep, Lily liked 'them' apples... until later when she got sick, poor baby.

Dave took the requisite apple orchard silly photos...

Mission: Wear the kids out... accomplished!

We came home with pleeeeeenty of apples!
Mmmm.... we love apples!
